Day 3: In 50 years from now, how do you think technology will be used?

50 years from now, I believe that the world will be ran by robots. We will no longer have to clean up, wash dishes,do laundry, and probably not even drive ourselves around. I honestly believe that the unemployment rate will rise because humans will no longer be needed to preform any jobs. Our world will be control by technology; more advanced computers, cell phones, etc.

Above is a math link game that allows kids to improve their math skills with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a fun and adventurous way. This game is designed for kids from ages 4 to 10. This is an useful and FREE website, and I strongly encourage parents and teachers to allow their children to use it to help with their math skills.

Reflection for Today: Second day of Training

Second day of training was great. Yesterday we did not finish podcast so we had to finished it this morning. What I really liked about today was how we work in constantly worked in groups. That allowed some of us to get to know others better, and learned how to communicate better with others as well. Although some of the group memebers disagreed with each other about some things, that allowed me as a person to learn how to respect and consider others decisions even if I and anyone else disagree. I think the easier part of today was creating a PowerPoint. I have been using PowerPoint for a while, therefore it was not that difficult to use. Movie maker was something new to me. Although it takes alot of brainstorming and thinking, with enough time I think I can learn how to get use to using it. All in all, today was great, can not wait until tomorrow. Signing out: Keosha

Reflection on Today: First Day of Training for TeachUp! Interns

Today was a very amazing day. I really enjoyed myself at the first day of training as an intern for the TeachUp! program. I like how we had to introduce ourselves by telling something true and something false, and the class had to guess what was true and false. That was AWESOME.! I learned that the four things we need to know as an intern is: (1) teacher enablement, (2) knowledge sharing, (3) Manage Projects, and (4) Advocacy.  My favorite part of training was learning how to blog. I somewhat knew what a blog was, but I learned that it is bascially questions/discussion, opinions, and feedback. Also, I enjoyed learning how to use the podcast. I think that this will become one of my favorite technology to use beside my cell phone and laptop.  All in all, today was a great day and I can't wait to see what is planned for tomorrow. Group 1: Expectation as an Intern

As interns, we expect to:
  • interact with teachers
  • learn more about technology
  • learn more about helpful learning websites
  • communicate better with individuals
  • observe student inhancing ideas
  • incorporate technology with teacher's lesson plan
  • get use to new enviornment
We all agreed that we were both excited and nervous about the different age groups that we would be placed with. Smaller kids are easier to work with and would be more exciting because of the material they are learning. Older kids would be a little difficult to deal with. PROBABLY.!!
